Tony Albert: We Can Be Heroes

19 May 2018 – 7 Oct 2018
GOMA | Childrens Art Centre | Free

Starring the children of Warakurna, 'We Can Be Heroes' explores how we can all be empowered, by overcoming our fears. Children can create their own digital superhero identity inspired by the DIY costumes featured in a photograph series by Tony Albert, make a monster collage and come face to face with the Mamu - fearful spirits that are found in Warakurna - as part of a display of illuminated paintings. 'Tony Albert: We Can Be Heroes' is the tenth Australian artist project to be developed in collaboration with the Children's Art Centre.
