Due to popular demand, a second session has been added from 1.00–3.00pm on Saturday 15 August.

Inspired by artist Vipoo Srivilasa’s exhibition 'Express Yourself', create a one-of-a-kind ceramic plate featuring a meal you'd love to share with someone you care about.

Using coloured glazes and a ready-made ceramic plate, you’ll be guided through the process of pottery painting to bring your creative ideas to life.

After the workshop, your plate will be professionally fired to make it food-safe and ready to enjoy at home.

All materials, tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Finished plates can be collected from Our Space Studio approximately 3–4 weeks after the workshop.

The concept for this workshop has been designed by artist Vipoo Srivilasa, based on the activity ‘A Meal to Share’ featured in ‘Vipoo Srivilasa: Express Yourself’, on display at GOMA until 13 September 2026.

What to expect

During this 2-hour workshop, you’ll paint a design of your choice on a ready-made ceramic bisqueware dinner plate.

All materials are provided, including a selection of coloured glazes.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll receive a tracking code so you can follow the progress of your piece through the glazing and firing process.

Collecting your finished plate

Your plate will be clear glazed and fired at Our Space Studio. You will be notified by text and email when your plate is ready to collect (approximately 3–4 weeks after the workshop).

Please collect your plate from Our Space Studio within 2 months of being notified that it is ready for pickup.

On-site parking is available. The studio is a 5-minute walk from Wilston train station.
