Pop-up Performances: Freestylers

Experience the Meanjin/Brisbane freestyle dance community in action as they bring popping, breaking, hip-hop and more to life at pop-up performances.

This crew brings together dancers from all over Meanjin/Brisbane, representing a variety of street and freestyle dance. Coming from all walks of life and united by their love of dance, music and community, for years they have trained and connected with GOMA as a backdrop.

As a former Scandinavian break-dancing champion, Olafur Eliasson states that his dance practice altered the way he understands time and space.

"Street dance enabled me to explore the space of my body in relation to the world around me.” - Olafur Eliasson
