One of David Lynch’s most beloved masterworks, Mulholland Drive is a rich noir thriller propelled by the logic of dreams and saturated with the uncanny shiver of déjà vu. When wide-eyed young actress Betty (Naomi Watts) moves to L.A. to make it in Hollywood, she shelters a beautiful but troubled amnesiac ‘Rita’ (Laura Harring). As they set out to uncover Rita’s real identity, they are drawn together by powerful and mysterious forces that threaten the very fabric of their reality. Described by Lynch as “a love story in the city of dreams,” the film has become among the most acclaimed cinematic achievements of the new millennium, ranking at number eight in the 2022 Sight & Sound Greatest Films of All Time poll.
