About
World renowned Brisbane singer-songwriter Robert Forster has always had an affinity to the theme of water trickling, flowing and falling through his songs. From early Go-Betweens songs like 'The Sound Of Rain’ (1978), to the joyous remembering of his Brisbane youth in 'Spring Rain’ (1986), and to the memorable image of ‘Rain Falling on the Moon' from his recent solo album Inferno (Brisbane In Summer) (2019). For Water Up Late, Forster has selected a unique series of songs from his catalogue to do with all things water. He and his five piece band will perform them in an exclusive one-off ‘Water Songs’ performance, with the Brisbane river as a backdrop.
