About
Join Kim Barrett, Conservator, Works on Paper, when she discusses a major project working on a number of sixteenth- to nineteenth-century Japanese scrolls and screens, a recent gift to the Gallery’s Collection. Kim will share the process of assessing and documenting these works, and the materials and techniques used to make and restore them. Learn about the difference between Western and Eastern conservation methods, and how the Gallery stores and displays these works to ensure they are preserved for future generations. A selection of these works are now on display in Gallery 6, QAG. Thank you for your interest in this event. Please contact the Members office on (07) 3840 7278 to check availability. $50 Members | $60 Members' guests | Includes a glass of wine, a two-course lunch of main and dessert, followed by tea or coffee
