Eligibility

  1. Eligible groups include Queensland primary and secondary schools with an Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) value of less than 1000, or a special school, as defined by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).
  2. Access is limited to 60 students per school per financial year.
  3. Special schools are exempt from providing an ICSEA value.

Application Process

  1. View available QAGOMA exhibitions.
  2. Complete the application form below.
  3. Enter your ICSEA value in the box provided. You can use the My School website if needed to check this value and confirm eligibility.
  4. Once mandatory fields have been completed, click ‘Submit’. You will then receive an automated confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application.
  5. The QAGOMA Learning team will assess your application. If successful, you will receive an email from the Group Bookings Office detailing next steps.
  6. Ensure you read the terms and conditions carefully prior to submitting the application form.

Terms & Conditions

  1.  QAGOMA reserves the right to vary the terms, suspend or discontinue this initiative at any time. Once we confirm your booking, QAGOMA Learning will honour the terms, including working through fair and reasonable booking changes, if possible.
  2. A maximum of 60 students per school will be approved in each financial year period.
  3. QAGOMA Learning will provide an orientation to the Gallery, complimentary entry into ticketed exhibitions, and facilitate a portion of the group’s visit.
  4. Additional costs, such as extra exhibition tickets, programs or workshops, must be paid in advance of the visit date.
  5. Destination QAGOMA applications only cover the visit to one QAGOMA building (QAG or GOMA). If attending the other Gallery site in addition to a Destination QAGOMA visit, schools must book their free entry online at Student Bookings. QAGOMA Learning will only arrange booking details for the portion of the visit covered by the access program.
  6. Participating schools agree that students, teachers and chaperones from your school consent to being photographed and/or recorded during their excursion to QAGOMA. The school is responsible for returning signed parent/guardian consent forms provided by QAGOMA, on/by the day of the group visit.
  7. Supply of packed lunches/food for the visit and other excursion requirements are the responsibility of students, families and their teacher/school.
