Participation and content

  • The three stages of the workshop will include: drawing referring to a photograph; exploration of carving styles to create tonal areas and mark making; and printing your block onto paper.
  • Capacity is limited to 10 attendees.
  • We ask all attendees to be kind, respectful, and courteous to all participants, facilitators and staff at this event. This program will be monitored by QAGOMA staff to ensure the wellbeing of our attendees, facilitators and staff.

Sensory aspects

  • Chairs with backs will be available.
  • This event will be photographed by QAGOMA staff. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise a staff member on arrival.
  • A screen/projection will be used during the event.

About the artist

Tamika Grant-Iramu is a Brisbane-based printmaker with a passion for translating her works on paper into new mediums such as textiles, interior furnishings, murals and public art. Since graduating from Queensland College of Art in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Tamika’s relief-prints have been short listed in numerous award exhibitions across Australia and acquired by institutions including Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, Queensland Children’s Hospital, State Library of Queensland, ABC Network, as well as regional and university galleries.
