About
Terra Nullius is an arresting novel that addresses the legacy of Australia's violent colonial history while also crossing into the realm of science fiction and allegory. In a dramatic tale of two groups — referred to simply as Natives and Settlers —this debut novel by Claire G Coleman explores themes of oppression, dehumanisation and resistance. The unpublished manuscript won the State Library of Queensland's black&write! Fellowship in 2016 and has been widely commended since its publication, including being shortlisted for the 2018 Stella Prize.
