Take inspiration from ‘William Yang: Seeing and Being Seen’ in this workshop for teens, exploring the importance of documenting your community through art. Hosted by Seamus Platt (multi-disciplinary visual artist), you’ll explore ideas of truth in photography and discover techniques for transforming your own found imagery into a series of artworks about your community. ABOUT THE FACILITATOR Seamus Platt is a Brisbane-based, multi-disciplinary visual artist who employs the photographic image as a starting point in order to explore the distance between the documentary and narrative genres. Platt works as a portrait and documentary photographer alongside their visual art practice.
