About

Take inspiration from ‘William Yang: Seeing and Being Seen’ in this workshop for teens, exploring the importance of documenting your community through art. Hosted by Seamus Platt (multi-disciplinary visual artist), you’ll explore ideas of truth in photography and discover techniques for transforming your own found imagery into a series of artworks about your community. For teens aged 13-18 – designed for all skill levels. Bookings essential. $10 General admission, $8 QAGOMA Members (Valid QAGOMA Member or Foundation Card required). Includes all materials. ABOUT THE FACILITATOR Seamus Platt is a Brisbane-based, multi-disciplinary visual artist who employs the photographic image as a starting point in order to explore the distance between the documentary and narrative genres. Platt works as a portrait and documentary photographer alongside their visual art practice.
