About
Emily Wurramara's childhood was filled with water and music. Growing up on Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory, the singer–songwriter's music has been described as 'lyrically stunning, weaving the traditional and culturally personal with the contemporary and contextual'. Released in 2016, her debut EP Black Smoke featured songs in both English and Anindilyakwa, the traditional language of Groote Eylandt. Wurramara has played festivals in Sweden and France as well as Australia, and received two nominations in the 2016 Queensland Music Awards. Free, no bookings required.
