Join Nina Miall, Curator, International Art, for a lecture exploring two exhibitions in QAGOMA’s International Collection galleries.

‘Sorcerers from Bohemia: Picasso's Saltimbanques’ explores Pablo Picasso’s early printmaking series La Suite des Saltimbanques, capturing the free-spirited world of travelling circus performers at a pivotal moment in the young artist’s development. ‘Towards a Collapsing World : German Expressionism’ surveys works on paper by leading German Expressionists, revealing how artists responded to the social, political and cultural upheavals of the early twentieth century.

Free for Members, $10 Members' guests. Bookings are essential as capacity is limited.

  • A screen/projection will be used during the event.
  • This event will be held in Cinema A, which is a 220 seat theatre space.
  • The lights will be turned down on the audience during the event. You can leave the space at any time and re-enter the event.
  • Chairs with backs will be available.
  • This event will be photographed by QAGOMA staff. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise a QAGOMA staff member on arrival.
