Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions and displays at the monthly Members lecture.

Hear from Geraldine Kirrihi Barlow, Curatorial Manager, International Art, as she shares insights into the exhibition ‘Olafur Eliasson: Presence’. This Brisbane-exclusive draws from the three-decade career of one of the world’s most influential living artists. From the magical early work Beauty 1993, which suspends a rainbow veil of mist, to the immense and immersive Riverbed 2014, Eliasson’s creations come to life as they meet the viewer’s senses and body.

Free for Members, $10 Members' guests. Bookings are essential as capacity is limited.

Sensory aspects

  • Speakers will use an amplified microphone.
  • A screen/projection will be used during the event.
  • This event will be held in Cinema A, which is a 220 seat theatre space.
  • The lights will be turned down on the audience during the event. You can leave the space at any time and re-enter the event.
  • Chairs with backs will be available.
  • This event will be photographed by QAGOMA staff. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise a QAGOMA staff member on arrival.
  • The Lecture will be recorded and later made available on the private Members YouTube playlist. Please email members@qagoma.qld.gov.au to request the link to a lecture recording.
