Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions and displays at the monthly Members lecture.

Hear from Ellie Buttrose, Curator, Contemporary Australian Art, as she explores ‘The City Before Our Eyes ’. The exhibition brings together works that draw from various art historical references – from surrealism, dada, pop art, documentary and social realism – to express the wonders and frustrations of contemporary city living.

Free for Members, $10 Members' guests. Bookings are essential as capacity is limited.

  • Speakers will use an amplified microphone.
  • A screen/projection will be used during the event.
  • This event will be held in Cinema A, which is a 220 seat theatre space.
  • The lights will be turned down on the audience during the event. You can leave the space at any time and re-enter the event.
  • Chairs with backs will be available.
  • This event will be photographed by QAGOMA staff. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise a QAGOMA staff member on arrival.
