About
Book for the lecture only component of our monthly Lunch & Lecture.
In 2023, The Winston Churchill Trust (Australia) awarded Debbie Brittain, QAGOMA’s Art and Dementia Program lead, a prestigious Churchill Fellowship to undertake independent research to investigate best practice museum programs sustaining wellbeing of people with dementia.
In late 2024, Debbie spent 8 weeks in North America, Ireland and Europe experiencing museum programs, meeting and learning from global leaders in the museum and university sectors who are invested in championing culture, health and wellbeing programs for community members living with dementia. Join Debbie for a special presentation exploring how these experiences have shaped her work with QAGOMA’s Art & Dementia program, highlighting the evidence-based research and sensory approaches that inform its ongoing evolution.
Bookings essential. Please note, the Members Lectures from May to August 2025 will be held in Cinema B due to temporary closure of Cinema A for maintenance work. Our capacity will be smaller than usual during this period, so it is essential to book a ticket to secure your place. Unbooked attendees cannot be guaranteed a seat on the day.
