About
Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay sweeps us from Nazi-infested Prague to New York City, from certain death to the city of dreams. Two young cousins create one of the world's first comic books using their character, The Escapist. Drawing on history and real events in the lives of comic-book creators such as Jack Kirby, Bob Kane and Stan Lee, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is a beautiful character study, and explores the creation of the comic book as a populist art form.
