Join Victoria Wareham, Assistant Curator, Australian Cinémathèque for an introduction to ‘Still Life Now’. Drawing on artworks from the Collection created in the last fifty years, ‘Still Life Now’ considers the way artists today are expanding the ideas of the still life tradition to create contemporary commentary on the nature of life and existence. This talk will highlight key works in the exhibition and accompanying film program to look at how artists and directors engage with themes of preservation, stillness, commodity and transformation to address cultural and political issues and promote social change. Lecture only tickets may be available.

Cancellation and refund policy

We understand that plans change and we always do our best to accommodate cancellation requests; however, last minute cancellations significantly impact our resourcing and the costs of running our Members events.

As of February 2022, where we are required to supply final numbers for catering purposes, ticket-holders must provide at least 4 business days' notice of cancellation to be eligible for a refund or to transfer their payment to another event. Refund and transfer requests received after this time cannot be guaranteed.
