Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions and displays at our monthly Members lecture then catch up with friends over a two-course lunch in the GOMA Restaurant. Join Debbie Brittain, Project Officer, Learning, for a presentation about QAGOMA’s Art and Dementia program. The program is part of the suite of free QAGOMA Access programs that provide opportunities for participant-focused, lifelong learning. Scheduled on a regular basis, the Art and Dementia program has attracted strong interest from community members, respite groups and residential aged care since it commenced in 2014. Debbie will introduce you to the evidence-based research and contemporary dementia care principles that have shaped the program’s evolution and format. The talk will also look at the sensory-based and tactile components embedded within the program to support participant wellbeing and function.
