About

Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions and displays at our monthly Members lecture then catch up with friends over a two-course lunch in the GOMA Restaurant. Join Reuben Keehan, Curator, Contemporary Asian Art for an in-depth look at the APT10 project ‘Between Earth and Sky: Indigenous Contemporary Art in Taiwan’. The talk will introduce Members to the diverse practices of the eight artists featured in the project, and provide insights into its development, as well as the broader themes of cultural retrieval, collective expression and cosmic futurisms. We will learn about the history and context of indigenous contemporary art in Taiwan, the struggles of Taiwan’s indigenous communities for recognition and autonomy, and the role artists play in plotting a course for more sustainable futures. Bookings essential, places are limited / Book online, call (07) 3840 7278 SOLD OUT / Includes a glass of wine and a two-course lunch (main and dessert), followed by tea or coffee.
