Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions and displays at our monthly Members lecture then catch up with friends over a two course lunch in the River Lounge on Level 3, GOMA.

In December and January, gain insights into the ‘Air’ exhibition in a two-part series presented by QAGOMA’s International Art curators.

In Part Two, explore the final two chapters of the exhibition: Invisible and Change. Amid the unsettling clouds of environmental and political upheaval, there is hope for the potential of air to nurture life, create change and highlight the critical issues of our time. In untitled (giran) 2018, artist Jonathan Jones and Dr Uncle Stan Grant Snr AM share elements of Wiradjuri knowledge and invite us to join them to learn from Country and culture. British artist Tacita Dean’s monumental drawing Chalk Fall 2018 takes us to the edge of a precipice made of solid layers of chalk, representing not only the iconic White Cliffs of Dover but a more universal precipice of uncertainty; and Anthony McCall’s installation Crossing 2017 invites us to traverse a dark room filled with haze and projected beams of light, navigating the slow-shifting architecture of light as if it were solid. Lecture only tickets may be available.

Ticketholders must provide notice of cancellation by Tuesday 17 January to be eligible for a refund or transfer their payment to another Members event. Refund and transfer requests received after the RSVP date cannot be guaranteed.
