Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions at our monthly Members lecture, then catch up with friends and meet fellow Members over a two-course lunch on the Roof Terrace at GOMA.
Hear from Grace Jeremy, Assistant Curator, Australian Art, as she shares insights into the exhibition ‘Suburban Sublime: Australian Photography’. Bringing together works from the QAGOMA Collection, the exhibition explores how artists have used the medium of photography to interpret the Australian suburbs and reflect on everyday settings, places and people, imbuing them with aesthetic, historical and emotional significance. Despite their varied origins and subjects, these artworks are consistent in demonstrating the enduring role of photography in enriching the understanding of familiar scenes and images from everyday life. Lecture only tickets may be available.
