About the artist

Mandy Quadrio is a Trawlwoolway/Pairabeenee and Laremairremenner artist based in Brisbane, who works across sculpture, installation and mixed media. Through her artworks she reflects on her Lutruwita/Tasmanian First Australian heritage. Quadrio is the third exhibiting artist in the Art Box for Kids exhibition series.

What to Expect

This program is designed for children aged from 7-12 years. Capacity

Each workshop has a maximum capacity of 14 children and their families.

Participation and content

  • Bookings essential.
  • All materials are provided.
  • Supervision by a parent or guardian is required. Children are encouraged to take the lead creatively during the workshop to enable them to make the most of their experience.
  • This program will take place at the GOMA Bodhi Tree Terrace for the whole duration.

Sensory aspects

  • The workshop will be held in a covered outdoor space.
  • The workshop will be tactile in nature and involve handling kangaroo skin.
  • The facilitator/s may use an amplified microphone.
  • A hearing loop is available on request. Please let us know ahead of time if your child requires a hearing loop.

Food and drink

  • We recommend packing a water bottle and a light snack.
  • For the safety of artworks, food and drink can only be consumed outside the Gallery. Open food and drink containers are not allowed in the Gallery spaces.
