Join QAGOMA conservators as they reflect on their collaboration with the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP), Bengaluru, to document and conserve a rare collection of works by Indian artist Ravi Varma.
This talk offers a behind-the-scenes look at the landmark conservation and research exchange between QAGOMA and MAP – an initiative that not only preserved an important cultural collection but fostered knowledge sharing and strengthened cultural ties. A selection of the conserved works are featured in the exhibition, ‘The God of Small Things: Faith and Popular Culture’.
The exhibition will be open for viewing from 5.15–6.00pm prior to the talk.
