One of the best known of Agatha Christie's novels, Murder on the Orient Express (1974) has been adapted for film, television and radio. This adaptation stars Albert Finney as Hercule Poirot, whose 'little grey cells' are tested when he is called upon to solve a seemingly perfect crime. The all-star cast of suspects includes Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Sean Connery, John Gielgud and Vanessa Redgrave. Murder on the Orient Express screens at the Australian Cinémathèque as part of the 'The Great Detective' Film Program, opening in July.
