As part of the ‘Paul Schrader: God’s Lonely Man’ film program at the Australian Cinémathèque, Members are invited to enjoy a Champagne Screening of American Gigolo starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton. A film notable for establishing Gere as a leading man, American Gigolo tells the story of a high-priced male escort who caters to an older female clientele and becomes the prime suspect for a murder he claims he did not commit.
