As part of the ‘Paul Schrader: God’s Lonely Man’ film program at the Australian Cinémathèque, Members are invited to enjoy a Champagne Screening of American Gigolo starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton. A film notable for establishing Gere as a leading man, American Gigolo tells the story of a high-priced male escort who caters to an older female clientele and becomes the prime suspect for a murder he claims he did not commit. The film will screen from a 35mm print imported directly from Los Angeles for the screening. Price includes film ticket, a glass of champagne and snacks. Screening commences at 3.00pm sharp.
