The Association of Australian Gallery Guiding Organisations (AAGGO) is a not-for-profit network linking volunteer art gallery guides across Australia. The Association was established fifty years ago to nurture, develop and challenge volunteers, providing them with support and the opportunity to develop new skills to enhance their role as vibrant and effective gallery guides. AAGGO members support Australia’s 20 major galleries and every day connect the community to their galleries’ collections and exhibitions.

AAGGO Conference

The 2023 Conference will be hosted by the guides of Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), Brisbane. Under the title “State of the Art” our Conference will feature knowledgeable presenters and panels including practising artists, academics, curators and critics, looking at the present and future of art and the gallery experience.

The Conference will run from 1 to 3 August 2023.
