What to Expect

About

Join Triennial artist, Ochirbold Ayurzana for a talk about his installation, Life Cup 2023, made in collaboration with Nomin Bold and consisting of 1967 suspended cast-metal skulls. For the artists, skulls are ‘life cups’: vessels for human souls and consciousness that are arranged in rhythmic arrangement of morse code, transliterated from four stanzas of ‘Hymn to the universe’, a nineteenth-century poem invoking karmic cyclical states.

Tarun Nagesh, Curatorial Manager, Asian & Pacific Art, QAGOMA.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Nomin Bold will no longer be appearing in this talk.
