About

Join Triennial artist, D Harding for a talk about their approach to materials and processes which honours and embodies Bidjara, Ghungalu and Garingbal Country around the Carnarvon Ranges (Kooramindanjie) in Central Queensland. Their Triennial installation, Woori red 2024 utilises hand-felted woollen felt blankets as a homage to ancestral possum skin cloaks, saturated with a mixture of gum acacia and earth pigments collected in a shared process with Elders, family and community on Country.

Hosted by Sophia Sambono, Associate Curator, Indigenous Australian Art, QAGOMA.
