About

Join Queensland artist Archie Moore as he discusses his monumental installation kith and kin, which traces his Kamilaroi and Bigambul relations over 65,000+ years and centres First Nations histories, languages, and understandings of time.

Awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at La Biennale de Venezia 2024, this presentation of kith and kin will be the first time it has been exhibited since its debut in Italy.

Project introduction by Djon Mundine OAM (Bandjalung, curator, writer, artist, and activist).

Artist talk in conversation with Ellie Buttrose (Curator, Contemporary Australian Art, QAGOMA).

This event is free and unbooked. Seating is limited, available on a first-in, first seated basis. To ensure equal access for all, seats cannot be saved. Queueing for the event will commence at 10.00am, with seating to commence at approximately 10.15am. In addition to the live event in Cinema A, the session will be live streamed to Cinema B.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.
