About
In the English county of Norfolk, Verden Fell (Vincent Price) mourns his late wife Ligeia. Secluding himself in his dilapidate estate, Fell unexpectedly meets the feisty Lady Rowena (Elizabeth Shepherd), a connection that both draws him back to life and seemingly heralds new horrors in their home. The final of Corman’s prodigious Edgar Allan Poe adaptations, The Tomb of Ligeia offers an indelible performance by Price amidst a cinematic feast of lurid colours, psychosexual nightmares and dripping gothic atmosphere.
