About
Seymour, a hapless florist’s assistant on LA’s skid row, grows an exotic plant in attempt to keep his job — but he soon finds that it cannot survive without feeding on human flesh!
Roger Corman is a legendary filmmaker for many reasons, with one of them being that he could make films on next to no budget at all. Here, he called upon cast and crew from Bucket of Blood 1959 to use their spare two days of shooting to film what would become The Little Shop of Horrors. Famous for featuring one of Jack Nicholson’s earliest screen roles and for inspiring the musical remake and subsequent Broadway spin-off, Roger Corman’s black comedy gem about a man-eating plant remains a B-grade lodestar.
