About
The Last Wave will screen from an archival 35mm print.
A lawyer assigned to a murder trial involving five Indigenous men finds himself plagued by apocalyptic premonitions seemingly connected to both the case and the freak weather incidents plaguing Sydney. The Last Wave marked Peter Weir’s return to filmmaking after Picnic at Hanging Rock 1975 and features a similarly haunting, dreamlike atmosphere.
