"New York architect Philip Dimitrius is tired of life in the city. He leaves it all behind and goes to Greece, the homeland of his ancestors, with his adolescent daughter. When the two arrive in Athens, they meet Aretha, a young and charming American woman who joins them on their voyage to an island of Peloponnesus. There, they meet the solitary shepherd Kalibanos and finally find the peace they were searching for. But the tranquility is ruined by the unexpected arrival of Philip’s ex-wife, Antonia, and her lover, the uncouth gangster Alonzo, who have been forced to moor on the island by a big storm. “Prospero can easily be ‘translated’ into Phillip: a cynical, misanthropic, and morose artist whose creative powers ultimately fail or prove irrelevant in the context of the consumer societies he has initially dominated.” (Paul Mazursky)" - Torino Film Festival
