About
Playful and poignant, Supa Modo is a charming depiction of the power of community and storytelling in the face of adversity.
When young Jo is diagnosed with a terminal illness, her loving sister Mwix secretly concocts an elaborate plan for their village to realise Jo’s dreams of becoming a superhero. A charming window into rural Kenya, the film rejects conventional portrayals of grief and death, instead celebrating the joys of life’s small pleasures. Stycie Waweru shines in the lead role of the courageous Jo, whose passion inspires all those around her.
