Tracing the day leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night (later renamed Saturday Night Live) in 1975, this recreation is a true tale of chaos and triumph. From the moment first-time producer Lorne Michaels (Gabriel LaBelle) arrives on set, things go awry, with performers such as John Belushi (Matt Wood) and Jim Henson (Nicholas Braun) clashing with writers, and general confusion about what the show was trying to do. As events spiral further out of control, television history is made.
