About
Night Tide will screen from an imported 35mm print.
A dreamy and beguiling slice of 1960s American indie cinema. Sailor Johnny Drake (an early role for Dennis Hopper) falls for the mysterious Mora (Linda Lawson) while on shore leave in San Diego. Mora works as a mermaid at a local carnival but Johnny soon suspects that there could be a supernatural pull to her allure.
Night Tide was restored in 2008 by the Academy Film Archive with support from The Film Foundation and Curtis Harrington
