About
Australian filmmaker and waverider Albert Falzon set out to make a film about the art form of surfing which would reflect spiritual relationships with the sun and the sea. Following surfers from North Coast New South Wales to Bali and Hawaiʻi, as they craft boards, carve waves and live in tune with the environment, Falzon’s sun-drenched feature is suffused with lens flare, and an attention to the prismatic way light and water interact. With a beloved soundtrack by G. Wayne Thomas, Morning of the Earth had a profound influence on 70s counterculture and continues to inspire today.
