About
Featuring the debut collaboration between celebrated comic writer/artist team Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean, and produced by the Jim Henson Company, MirrorMask is a visually adventurous fantasy.
15-year-old Helena (Stephanie Leonidas) travels with her circus performer parents, spending her entire life on the road. Resentful of the instability, she wishes for a quieter life, only to be mired in guilt when her mother falls ill and is hospitalised. What follows is Helena’s hallucinatory escape into another world in the vein of Alice in Wonderland from which she must find her way back to the real world to help her mother.
PG | Mature themes, frightening fantasy scenes
