A Life in Paint offers a rare glimpse into Olley’s incredible home studio in Sydney where bunches of flowers adorn carefully crafted still life scenes and Olley’s works in progress are casually propped up against bookcases and table legs waiting for another dab of paint. The film features Olley discussing her painting process alongside interviews with close friends and colleagues such as artists Cressida Campbell and Ben Quilty, curator and art historian Barry Pearse and her art dealer Philip Bacon crafting an in-depth portrait of one of Australia’s most beloved artists.
