Timothy Fairless

Timothy Fairless is a music-maker and video artist from Meanjin/Brisbane. His sound has elements of dark ambient and experimental electronic, using processed field recordings set against acoustic instruments and synthesizers. Over nearly a decade he’s released 2 albums, a soundtrack and 5 EPs on Berlin-based Unperceived Records, London-based Flaming Pines, and independently. As a composer he’s produced scores for film, television and a virtual reality experience for the Adelaide Biennial. His extension into visual arts has seen him score video and theatre for William Yang’s major exhibition at Queensland Art Gallery, and had his own video works exhibited in spaces across Australia and in Thailand.
