Jim meets his puppetry hero Sergei Obrastzov, whom he describes as a great inspiration for his own work, and they discuss the evolution of his artistry. Russian artist Obrastzov’s intricately designed rod puppets are showcased in clips from his music-filled productions, performed in Moscow’s purpose-built State Academic Central Puppet Theatre (now the Obraztsov Theater). We are also treated to an intimate solo performance by Obraztsov himself.
