Adapted from Jay Ward’s popular 60s cartoon series, George of the Jungle stars Oscar-winner Brendan Fraser as the hapless hero who rescues wealthy jungle adventurer Ursula (Leslie Mann). She takes her ‘second-rate Tarzan’ to the big city, where fish-out-of-water chaos naturally ensues whilst he tries to win her heart.

Retaining a narrator in the style of its cartoon predecessor, the film also has plenty of slapstick, crude comedy and fun animal characters (both real and fabricated by Jim Henson's Creature Shop), including a John Cleese-voiced ape, a helpful toucan and an elephant that thinks it’s a puppy.
