Los Angeles resident Terry Masear devotes her time to caring for injured hummingbirds, hoping to set them free again after their full rehabilitation. While Terry may be the last hope for an injured or orphaned bird, she credits them, and the beauty and wonder they imbue, with the means for her coming to terms with her own experiences of loss, trauma and loneliness.
