About
Abbas Kiarostami masterfully blends cinéma-vérité and fiction in this real-life story of an impostor, Hossein Sabzian, who infiltrates a family under the pretence that he is the famous Iranian film director Mohsen Makhmalbaf making a film about them. Kiarostami follows the subsequent trial of Sabzian and its aftermath, and restages the story with the key parties playing themselves.
