About
Based on the novel by Dick King-Smith, Babe tells tale of a piglet saved from the slaughterhouse by the compassionate farmer Hoggett (James Cromwell), who lives with his wife played by Magda Szubanski. Making firm friends with the other barnyard animals, including a motherly border collie, who teaches the precocious porcine the art of sheep-herding, Babe sets about protecting the flock. Shot in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, George Miller’s beloved classic features animatronic puppets by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
