About
Dalmatian-owners Roger (Jeff Daniels) and Anita (Joely Richardson) meet and fall in love, but when the adorable offspring of their dogs catch the eye of fur-loving fashion designer Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close), she conspires to steal them with the help of a pair of bumbling thugs (Hugh Laurie and Mark Williams). Close is deliciously wicked as Cruella, threatening to outshine the cute canines.
This version of Dodie Smith’s beloved tale was among the first wave of Disney’s live-action remakes of its classic animated features. Working alongside Industrial Light and Magic, the artisans at Jim Henson's Creature Shop seamlessly blended animatronic and CGI puppies and with their real counterparts, along with creating a host of other furry critters.
