The documentary traces the discovery of the mycelium network that allows trees to communicate with one another, ground-breaking studies in the medicinal benefits of psychedelic mushrooms and the ongoing potential for new research. Narrated by Brie Larson, the film features interviews with mycologist Paul Stamets, author Michael Pollan and Roland Griffiths, Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
