SYNOPSIS

Set in 1973, this film is a riveting all-star drama set about one man’s plot to kill President Richard Nixon, featuring Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Naomi Watts, and Jack Thompson.

Inspired by true events, the film blends 1970s New Hollywood grit with the cerebral energy of the best of modern American independent cinema. Sean Penn plays Sam Bicke, a salesman whose collapsing marriage and life lead him to develop a violent obsession with the sitting President. Thompson shines in the supporting role of Bicke’s beleaguered boss, while Penn radiates with a fanatical intensity that drives the gripping story.

The Assassination of Richard Nixon will screen from a rare archival 35mm print.
