About
The master of the bellows meets the master of escape! Organist David Bailey takes on one of the slipperiest characters of the early twentieth century, illusionist and stunt performer Harry Houdini in The Grim Game 1919.
Presented on the 100th anniversary of its original release, this long-lost silent caper stars Houdini as Harvey Hanford, a go-getter journalist who is framed for the murder of his ill-tempered uncle. His quest to clear his name and get the girl finds him breaking out of handcuffs and chains and ending up on the wing of a bi-plane in mid-air. Lost for decades, The Grim Game was unearthed in a Houdini fan’s secret archive and has now been digitally restored.
This is an all ages event.
