About
A sweeping, historical film set in the outback, Australia is Baz Luhrmann’s love letter to the Australian landscape and a romantic epic on the scale of Gone with the Wind 1939.
Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) is convinced her husband is having an affair and travels from England to their remote cattle station to stop his philandering. Upon arriving, she finds her husband murdered and the huge station now her responsibility. Propelling the prim aristocrat into a thrilling adventure, Lady Sarah battles to keep the station running by convincing Drover (Hugh Jackman) and his wise charge Aboriginal boy Nullah (Brandon Walters) to help her while fending off local station owner King Carney (Bryan Brown), who is plotting a takeover of the property.
